Oragami Hearts, originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
They say ‘you learn something new every day’ and that is certainly true this week. Here are some oragami hearts I learnt to make using this video here for one of my mission 101 challenges.
(Also this week whilst knitting my mary Jane bootees I have learn to ‘make a stictch using backward loop method’, ’slip, slip, knit decrease’ and yarn over’ so am very pleased with myself!!)

Two Left Feet! , originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
Yes I know they are both left feet! I started these Mary Jane Bootees and thought the first one looked a bit small so I tried them again on needles one size up, although they do not look a lot different in the photo I am a lot happier with the slightly bigger one!
I am going to make another style of bootee as well for the same baby and decorate a box to put them in.

Graveyard Cake!, originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
With all the decorations and dressing up for Halloween Boo decided it must be someones birthday and so we ‘had’ to have a cake! So we made a ‘graveyard cake’.
It is plain and chocolate sponge marbled together covered in chocolate and richtea bisuits decorated with black writing icing for the gravestones!

Pumpkin carving!, originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
Today I thought I would share with you the pumpkin we carved for Halloween! We have saved the seeds (some to plant, some to use in bread, some to do some crafts with next week) and have puree’d the flesh but haven’t found a recipe I like yet!
The pictures are a step by step ‘How to!’

This is the first time I have been tagged on this blog
I have been tagged by Charlotte of A Slice of Organic Life.
10 things to know about me:
1) I am already way too excited about Christmas! When it comes to Christmas I am like a child and get very over excited, I am already thinking about it Presents/decorating/what we can do etc and have already watched two Christmas films with Boo and Moo(The Snowman and Polar Express). It is without a doubt THE best time of year and you are definitely NEVER too old to believe in Father Christmas. We have two christmas trees and even more fairy lights than usual (see number 10 below). My Favorite Christmas film is The Night they Saved Christmas as it is just magical!’.If I ever win the lottery/become very rich, one of the first things I would do is take Boo and Moo to Lapland to so Father Christmas. I have also seen Weddings in Lapland (staying in a Tippee not far from the Northern lights!!) however i’m not sure sure Mr W would be so keen on that!!
2) We have a ridiculous number of pets - 2 rescue cats – Candy Cupcake & Mandy Moo, a rescue rabbit – Honey, a hamster – Woody and 2 goldfish – no names :( who are 8 yrs old!!
3) I start university in 3 months time! I am quite nervous but also extremely excited.
4) I would love to travel and visit China, Japan, USA, Australia and many more. Although I like my home comforts so it would have to be hotels all the way! The most exotic place I have been is The Gambia which is a lovely place.
5) My favourite food are cakes and breads! I love baking and I love eating them. Not the healthiest thing!
6) My dream is to have a largish house in the country with room for more animals (a few pigs, a few pigmy goats, a donkey and some chickens& Ducks!). With a big country kitchen with an open fire!
7) I used to want a minimum of 4 children! Now having had 2, I am thinking that is fine for now, although I would maybe like a 3rd in the future. It would be perfect to have a little girl when my boys are older!
8 ) This blog is my 3rd attempt at a blog! In the past I have lasted a week or two and stopped. I have kept this going for a while now and hopefully will keep it up as I enjoy showing of the things I make
9) I take way too many photographs. I have about 3000 on my pc which need sorting out and backing up. My computer is so slow and i would love to have my photos all arranged nicely to look back on but I can’t see me having the time to do it in the near future.
10) I have an obsession with Fairy Lights and tea lights! My house is full of them and I cannot get enough of them. The more the better! I have fair lights up all year-round as I think they make the house look so pretty and I have tea lights EVERYWHERE! I have seen a set of star led fairy lights which I must get for the boys bedroom!

WIP Golf Club Cover, originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
My Current WIP is a set of Golf club covers for Mr W.
The pattern I have is from Ravelry here, however he doesn’t want the symbols, he wants a ‘Wolves’ badge as in the Wolverhampton Wanderers football logo like this (Just the black wolves head not th border):
Not sure if it achievable yet as the pattern is for symbols done in ‘duplicate stitch’ and I have never attempted intarsia? So will have to see! Any tips?

new charms, originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
Nothing completed this week, so I decided to show off my silver charm bracelet as I have had two new charms for it today.
I had it when I was christened and had a few charms as I was growing up, then started collecting them again at the beginning of this year when I discovered Split rings (hold charms on – no need for solder) and THIS amazing website! It has lots of different charms. However I have a ‘childs’ bracelet, so am limited which ones I can have and have to stick to the smaller ones (less than 2g in weight).
I have:
A Star – a present from Boo as he loves stars!
A Stork – A present with the bracelet when Christened (also think there was a heart which I lost!)
Clogs – A present from my Aunt (how also bought the bracelet) from a holiday
A Bunny – A present from Moo as it is identical to his comfort toy!
Mum – A Present from Boo & Moo for mothers day this year
Cat – In memory of my cat Willow who died suddenly this year
Owl - Another present from my Aunt (how also bought the bracelet) from a holiday
Victorian Boot – Present when I was young not sure who from
Garnet Heart – Valentines Day gift from Mr W
Yarn & Needles – Present from me to me because it was too cute not to!
Lobster – Present from Mr W because I’m his lobster! (Remember Pheobe in Friends???)
Ballerina – Present from my Mum & Dad years ago
Donkey – a cornish Donkey which was belonged to my mum
Welsh Lady – Present as a child no idea who/where from
Paint Tray and Roller – Present from Mr W to symbolise him!
Today I have added the wool & knitting needles . I have 15 charms now, I think I can fit 25 on. I would still love a camera, a flip flop, the initial A, a cornish pixie and a needle and thread, then I may progress to a ‘adult’ bracelet!

Halloween Tree!, originally uploaded by Annaelizc.
Here it is my Halloween tree! Made ever so simply by taking a branch of a tree and decorating with suitably spooky things! I was going to knit some decorations however I have a bit too much on at the moment so settled for shop bought decorations. I used the base for my christmas tree as a stand.
Here it is in the dark with the Ghost lights switched on:
Make one! I think everyone should have trees for more occasions, can’t wait until easter as I have big plans for an Easter tree lol!
Am contemplating turning this into a bonfire night tree next week, depends if I can get the boys to decorate some rockets etc, so watch this space?
